What is Counselling
My role as a Counsellor is to assist, encourage and support you with your mental health.
Walking therapy combines movement and nature to support emotional wellbeing and clarity.
Walking therapy, combines traditional counselling with the benefits of gentle movement in natural surroundings. Rather than meeting in a clinic or office, sessions take place outdoors—whether in local parks, along footpaths, or in green open spaces—offering a more relaxed and down-to-earth setting. This approach can help ease anxiety, encourage openness, and support emotional wellbeing.
Being in nature, side by side rather than face to face, can make it easier to reflect, talk freely, and gain a sense of clarity and calm
I gain valuable insight into my own world whilst being outdoors, as it provides me with fresh air, time away from technology. I encourage you to walk without the use of headphones, scrolling on your phone or other devices. Take in your surroundings, as there is so much to see! It’s also a great form of physical exercise!
Taking my service outdoors has been something I have wanted to introduce for some time. As I recognise that there are those who prefer to experience therapy in this way, or those that wish to see if this is for them. Green spaces are my preference, as being in nature is beneficial to our wellbeing.
Manchester city centre has a few new green spaces that we can take advantages of.
The best method to contact me is email or text. Should you choose to call, please leave a brief message. We will decide your next step.
During your initial contact we will arrange your 30 minute complimentary session.
We agree a day and time for you to begin your therapy sessions.
