What is Counselling
My role as a Counsellor is to assist, encourage and support you with your mental health.
As an addition to my services, I offer Supervision to students and qualified counsellors. I have trained within the Seven Eyed Model.
This involves me learning about your approach, working environment and your way of relating to the clients you are working with.
I conduct supervision face to face, with exceptions for online sessions. Working as a Counsellor / Therapist is a rewarding and challenging role. Attending in person supervision supports your personal growth, provides a change of environment and supports your mental health and growth as a therapist. I believe it is important to have a good connection and be comfortable working with each other, as well as the environment we will be working in. Prior to working together, I will invite you to meet with me. This supports both of us to get to know each other and discuss how we will work together. During this time, I will share with you how I work and what you can expect from working with me.
Do attend with any questions you may have, so that you gain the information you feel is necessary.
I do encourage you to express yourself, asking any questions you may have. We will also discuss your requirements, such as learning aids, e.g. Dyslexia.
Once we are both in agreement to work with each other, we will both sign a contract which we will both keep for our records. I encourage those I work with to attend for supervision prepared and ready to discuss their case load and, or, any issues they may be experiencing.
Do get in touch to book an initial meeting!
The best method to contact me is email or text. Should you choose to call, please leave a brief message. We will decide your next step.
During your initial contact we will arrange your 30 minute complimentary session.
We agree a day and time for you to begin your therapy sessions.
